The government has made the process slightly convenient for users who can now do how to link aadhar card with mobile number  from home with IVR . Just call 14546 from any mobile number, and keep your Aadhaar handy for linking the two from your home. The new single number for Interactive Voice Response (IVR) services was issued to facilitate the linking.

Linking Aadhaar with the mobile number has become easier as the Centre on Tuesday issued a single number for Interactive Voice Response (IVR) services to facilitate the linking. It is a sigh of relief for consumers across the country, who previously had to go to their operators to link the two. Also, users can re-verify their phone number by linking it to Aadhaar all they have to do is simply call on a toll-free number

IVRS Method 14546 to Link Aadhaar with Mobile Number

  • You have to dial 14546a short code of IVR system (Starts on January 1, 2017)
  • You will be connected via Computer generated call
  • Select language that is English, Hindi or regional language
  • Provide 12 digits Aadhaar number
  • Telecos will send the number to UIDAI
  • After verification, you will receive an OTP which you have to enter manually for authentication
  • You will also receive a confirmation SMS.

Link Aadhaar OTP Method: As per instructions of DOT to avoid disconnection of the mobile number or SIM it is a mandatory to link your Aadhaar card to your mobile connection. If your number is not verified via e-KYC, your services might be restricted after 6th February 2018. To re-verify your SIM via e-KYC process, you need to visit your nearest retailer shop and then submit your Aadhaar number and do the biometric verification.

The OTP you receive for Aadhaar-mobile phone re-verification is valid for 30 minutes, so you can use it even there is some network glitch and the call terminates prematurely. Subscribers who are on corporate plans do not need to need to undergo the re-verification process. So far, Airtel, Idea, and Vodafone have activated the service. Since Jio takes Aadhaar number to activate the SIM card, subscribers do not need to re-verify on the network, a customer care executive told Gadgets 360.

For Airtel and Vodafone users, they can link their mobile number to Aadhar irrespective of which state they are in, meanwhile, for Idea customers, Aadhaar number should belong to the same circle as the mobile number
