BPSC Selection Process

You have to go through the following steps to get finally selected in Bihar Public Service Commission

  • Prelims Exam -This is a single file preliminary exam in which all the candidates who have applied will participate.
  • Main written examination commission invites candidates 10 times the vacancies from prelims exam for main exam, only those candidates can participate who have qualified prelims exam.
  • Interview– This is the last stage under which the candidate has to appear for the interview in front of the board members who become dogs in the main examination.

The following points have to be read carefully to know the BPSC Exam Pattern..

  • The Preliminary Examination is an objective based qualifying examination of 150 marks.
  • Descriptive Type Means Exam There are total 4 papers in this exam in which the first paper is of qualifying nature only while the marks of the remaining three papers are added to the mine.
  • Interview it is of 120 marks

Final merit list of candidates is prepared by adding three papers of Mains exam which are of 300 marks respectively and 120 interview marks whether or not Final merit list is prepared on the basis of 120 marks

BPSC Pre Exam Pattern

  • Question papers are asked in both Hindi and English language in the pre exam.
  • There are total 150 questions and each question is of one mark.
  • There is no provision of negative marking in case of wrong answer.
  • There is an objective type test in which five options are given for each question, out of which you have to choose the correct option.
  • The prescribed time duration for this is 2 hours.

BPSC Pre Syllabus

Bihar Public Service Commission exam syllabus is like following..

The candidates who clear the Preliminary Examination as prescribed by the Commission are eligible for the next stage i.e. Main Examination. After this the Commission invites candidates who qualify in the Pre-Exam to appear for the Main Examination, about 10 times the vacancies.

  • There are total 4 papers in the main exam in which the first paper is of Hindi which is generally compulsory while the two papers are of general studies GS 1 and GS 2 and the last paper is of optional subject.
  • Candidate have to get 30% marks in Hindi paper it is only qualifying paper.
  • The number of Hindi subject is not added in the merit which is made for the interview.
  • Question papers are made available in both Hindi and English languages.
  • Time duration of 3 hours is provided for each subject

BPSC Mains Hindi Syllabus 2021

Hindi is a compulsory subject in Mains exam, its marks are not added for making merit, but to reach the next stage, you need to qualify in Hindi subject, in which you have to get 30% marks.

  • Grammar: 30 Marks
  • Syntax: 25 marks
  • Abbreviation: 15 points
