MKSY – UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana : MKSY (Mukhya Mantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana) is one of the best schemes of the Uttar Pradesh government for the girl child in the state. UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana is one such initiative which works exclusively for the development of girl child and also ensures their social security.

MKSY scheme was launched in the year 2019 and was implemented on 1st April 2019. This scheme has been implemented with the objective of eliminating all barriers related to the safety and protection of the girl child, health and education in the state.

Under Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana, an amount of Rs 15 thousand will be provided to the family where a girl child is born.

UP MKSY Kanya Sumangla Yojana Registration Process

Under this scheme, only two daughters of a family having two children will be given the benefit of the scheme. If the first daughter is followed by a twin daughter, then all three will be given the benefit of the scheme. When the girl child is a minor, the amount due will go to the account of her mother and father’s mother. On the death of both the parents, the amount will go to the girl’s account.

The following are the steps for registration of MukhyaMantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana 2021 –

  • Go to the official website of Ministry of Women and Child Development (MKSY).
  • On the homepage, click on Citizen Services Portal link in the left and menu.
  • You will be asked to agree to the terms and conditions of the scheme. Here you have to click on the link “I Agree” given below.
  • Registration form page will be displayed on the screen.
  • In this registration form you will need Name, Aadhar Number, Mobile Number And all the information asked will have to be verified by entering the OTP.
  • Your registration will be completed after you have entered the verified OTP.
  • After that you will get Login ID and Password with the help of your registered mobile number.
  • You have to login to the official website (mksy.up.gov.in) with the help of login id and password received on your mobile.
  • Kanya Sumangala Yojana Application Form page will be displayed on the screen.
  • You have to enter all the information in this form and upload all the required documents. After that, click on the link “Send SMS OTP” to complete the registration process.

  • Scanned Copy of Address Proof
  • Identity Proof
  • Scanned Copy of Bank A/C Number and Passbook (Mother and Father or Guardian)
  • Scanned copy of Voter ID (Optional)
  • Death certificate (if mother or father is not alive)

Eligibility For Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana

Following are the eligibility for Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana

  • The beneficiary’s family should be a resident of Uttar Pradesh and have a permanent residence.
  • The family annual income of the family should be maximum ₹ 3 lakh.
  • Only maximum two girl child of a family will be able to get the benefit of the scheme.
  • Third child if a woman has twins from the second delivery. As the benefit will also be valid for the girl child.
  • Also, if a woman has a girl child from the first delivery and there are only two twin girls from the second delivery, then only in such a situation, the benefit will be admissible to all the three girls. .
  • If a family has adopted an orphan girl child, then maximum two girls including biological children and legally adopted children of the family will be the beneficiaries of this scheme.
