UP Free Smartphone / Tablet Scheme 2021: The Uttar Pradesh government will start distributing smartphones and tablets to the students in the state from the second week of December.

As per the announcement made by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, around 2.5 lakh tablets and 5 lakh smartphones will be distributed to the students in the first phase. These devices are being distributed to equip the students with gadgets so that they can study well without any hindrance.

The Uttar Pradesh government announced on November 30 that it would distribute smartphones and tablets among the youth of the state under the UP Smartphone Tablet Distribution Scheme. Along with this, the Yogi government also told that these gadgets will be provided to the candidates free of cost.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath will soon launch ‘DG Shakti’, with the help of this portal, it will be easy to maintain the data of distribution of smartphones and tablets. Please note that no fee will be charged from the students for this. The entire cost from registration to delivery of the smartphone and tablet will be borne by the state government.

According to government spokesperson and cabinet minister Siddharthnath Singh, tablets or smart phones are being distributed to make the youth of Uttar Pradesh technically proficient. There are plans to provide tablets or smart phones to 60 lakh to one crore students in graduate, technical education, B.Tech, polytechnic, medical education and skill development.

For students to take advantage of this opportunity, the students data is given by the college to the university, and the rest of the data feeding process will be done in the university. According to media reports, till Monday, the data of about 27 lakh students was uploaded on the portal.
