WhatsApp New Features: WhatsApp messaging level reporting feature is running for the last two months.
WhatsApp New Features
Instant messaging application WhatsApp has released two new security features in India. These features include flash call and message level reporting. This means users will be able to verify their identity with the call and report specific messages, rather than reporting the entire conversation or user.
WhatsApp adds the feature of flash calls to the SMS verification option given to its users. The proprietary instant messaging app has introduced these features to keep WhatsApp safe for Indian users.
The new features of WhatsApp are the company’s latest effort to make the platform more secure for Indian users. The new Flash feature gives you the ability to verify yourself with an automated call instead of SMS when setting up WhatsApp on a new smartphone.
This feature is currently only made for Android users and allows WhatsApp to make and verify calls to you automatically. You can opt for this instead of SMS verification which sends OTP to your phone.
According to reports, the message level reporting function has been operational for some time now. With this feature, WhatsApp users can report the account by marking a particular message. This can be done by long clicking on a specific message to report or block the user.
WhatsApp recently introduced a new privacy option that gives you the ability to hide your first last status and profile picture from specific contacts.
